📋 Description

• Design, develop, and optimize scalable data transformation pipelines in BigQuery using Dataform and SQL • Support migration of enterprise data warehouse workloads from Teradata to BigQuery • Analyze, translate, and validate existing data models and logic • Discover, document, and manage the central Common Data Model hub • Support onboarding of new CDM consumers and provide data model and integration guidance • Analyze business KPIs and ensure accurate definitions, calculations, and usage in the data model • Maintain expertise in data structures, lineage, and semantics • Drive testing, validation, and reconciliation across Teradata and BigQuery • Optimize BigQuery workloads for performance, cost efficiency, and maintainability • Contribute to documentation, modeling standards, and engineering best practices • Collaborate with engineers, analysts, architects, and business stakeholders

🎯 Requirements

• Professional experience as an Analytics Engineer, Data Engineer, or BI Engineer • Senior-level ownership and autonomy • Strong hands-on SQL expertise, including complex transformations, analytical queries, and performance optimization • Practical experience with Google Cloud Platform, particularly BigQuery • Hands-on experience with Dataform or a similar SQL-based transformation framework such as dbt, with willingness to work with Dataform • Understanding of dimensional modeling, layered architectures, and hub-and-spoke/common data model approaches • Ability to understand business KPIs and translate definitions and usage into maintainable data model implementations • Experience ensuring data quality through testing, validation, and dataset reconciliation • Regular use of AI tools to improve productivity, automate or reduce repetitive work, support decision-making, and deliver higher-quality outcomes • Ability to use AI tools responsibly, structure effective prompts, validate outputs critically, understand limitations, and own final results • Excellent English communication skills • Nice to have: Teradata SQL, BTEQ, Teradata-to-BigQuery migration experience, Python, GCP data services, BI/reporting tools, data governance/cataloging/lineage, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, or Google Cloud certification
