📋 Description

• Act as the product/market expert and evangelist for Health, Safety, and Environmental employee training solutions • Work with customers, prospects, safety councils, and partners to understand business problems and create market solutions • Own the product vision, ROI, roadmap, and backlog from inception through ongoing product maturity • Define, manage, and monitor product and business KPIs, including revenue growth, cost savings, turnaround time, and NPS • Conduct market research and competitive analysis • Contribute to business plans and product proposals • Define the minimum viable product and potentially shippable increments • Serve as the dedicated Product Owner with internal and external teams • Gather, analyze, collate, and justify requirements from clients and stakeholders • Develop User Stories, Use Cases, and Acceptance Criteria • Participate in Scrum team meetings, including sprint planning, daily scrums, and sprint reviews • Participate in Product Management meetings, including roadmap and release planning, as well as other inter-team meetings • Collaborate with software designers, developers, and testers enhancing software systems supporting global users

🎯 Requirements

• Strong understanding of jurisdictional requirements for competencies required to perform specific job roles, including oil & gas, petrochemical, facilities management, and telecommunications • Strong knowledge of global compliance training and certification requirements for workers, including OSHA and Operator Qualifications • Environment health and safety experience required • Understanding of design thinking and agile development methodologies • Experience launching new products to market and executing readiness plans • Ability to take decisive ownership of tough business problems • Substantial experience with an Agile process, preferably Scrum • Ability to write well-crafted User Stories and Use Cases • Ability to write well-defined acceptance criteria at the feature and story levels • Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills • Detail-oriented with excellent organization skills while managing multiple projects • 5 years of experience with employee-level compliance, including induction, licenses/certifications, training, and skills • BS/BA in Engineering, Business, or a related degree • 5 years of experience in product management, as a product owner • Experience with external teams as a product owner is a plus • Experience with Rally, Atlassian Software Suite (JIRA and JIRA Agile), or similar story/bug tracking tools is a plus • Domain knowledge in vendor management is a plus • Certified Scrum Product Owner certification is a plus • Certifications from Pragmatic Marketing are a plus
