• Strengthen transaction monitoring processes • Analyze transactional activities to identify potential money laundering patterns using data-driven methodologies • Develop and refine transaction monitoring rules to reduce false positives and increase detection accuracy • Use SQL and database management skills to extract relevant data for case analysis and report generation • Escalate complex suspicious-transaction investigations to the Compliance Officer • Collaborate with the Compliance Officer on SAGRILAFT and SARLAFT reporting and regulatory filings such as SARs • Create and maintain detailed case documentation for audit readiness and regulatory reviews • Identify automation opportunities to streamline monitoring and reporting • Use data mining to detect emerging risks and propose monitoring-rule or algorithm improvements • Collaborate with Engineering to implement scalable monitoring solutions aligned with the company’s risk appetite • Design and implement dashboards tracking transaction-monitoring metrics • Work with Product, Engineering, Risk, and Legal teams to embed AML requirements into operational workflows • Support compliance initiatives with insights on regulatory requirements, process improvements, and risk mitigation strategies
• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field • Minimum 3+ years of experience in transaction monitoring, financial crime investigations, or compliance within fintech, banking, or other regulated financial institutions • Strong understanding of local AML regulations, specifically SAGRILAFT / SARLAFT frameworks • Experience working with large datasets to detect unusual transaction patterns and support risk-based decision-making • Ability to identify transactional anomalies, assess risk exposure, and escalate high-risk activity • Experience improving alert detection and triage processes • Experience optimizing thresholds and rules in AML monitoring systems • Experience enhancing automated risk scoring models • Experience conducting in-depth AML transaction monitoring investigations • Ability to gather supporting documentation and prepare reports for escalation • Ability to identify red flags and provide recommendations for corrective actions • Ability to collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Risk teams • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to communicate findings and insights in English, both written and spoken
