📋 Description

• Administer relational and non-relational databases • Administer critical, high-availability databases • Analyze and tune queries • Monitor databases to identify availability and performance issues • Open change requests in production environments and manage the approval process • Open support tickets with vendors, follow up, and escalate when necessary • Use Zabbix and Grafana monitoring tools, as well as ITSM tools • Work with Agile methodologies

🎯 Requirements

• Experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB) • Experience administering critical, high-availability databases • Experience analyzing and tuning queries • Experience with Always On • Experience with Zabbix and Grafana monitoring tools • Experience with Agile methodologies • Experience with ITSM tools • Experience opening change requests in production environments and managing the approval process • Experience opening vendor support tickets, following up, and escalating when necessary • Experience monitoring databases to identify items suitable for monitoring to support availability and performance • Knowledge of Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL databases (preferred) • Certifications in Oracle, MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server (preferred) • Experience with cloud environments, particularly AWS (preferred) • Knowledge of Oracle Data Guard and SQL Server Always On (preferred) • Knowledge of backup and restore using RMAN (preferred) • Knowledge of OEM (preferred)
