📋 Description

• Plan with AI, steer coding agents, and critically review their output • Work directly with business colleagues to gather requirements, agree on approaches, and deliver working software • Make architecture and data-model decisions that keep systems fast and reliable as the company scales • Take ownership of existing applications and build new solutions for the affiliate business • Design and develop event-driven backend systems handling large volumes of product and campaign data • Develop primarily in Rust and partly in Python • Own topics end to end and keep the team and stakeholders informed • Participate in a strong engineering culture through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and improving tools and ways of working • Collaborate with business colleagues and explain technical trade-offs in plain language

🎯 Requirements

• Experience contributing to a strong engineering culture through code reviews, knowledge sharing, or improving team tools and ways of working • Daily hands-on experience with coding agents, including planning with AI, delegating implementation, and critically reviewing output • Strong architectural awareness and ability to select appropriate components and infrastructure • Rust experience, or curiosity and readiness to make Rust the main language • C or C++ experience is a strong alternative • Experience with e-commerce, affiliate marketing, Google Shopping, Google Ads, or other data-heavy web platforms is ideal • Experience with event-driven systems such as Kafka, AWS SQS/SNS, or similar • Solid grasp of the full engineering process, including requirements, design, trade-offs, testing, and maintainability • Mid- or senior-level experience • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field • Business-fluent English (C1 or higher) • Frontend experience with TypeScript/Next.js is a plus but not required
