📋 Description
• Collect soil, water, leaf, petiole, and other agricultural samples from farms according to relevant SOPs • Capture location data using Trimble or MYFARMWEB™ CAPTURE • Complete online job cards for every sample by accurately capturing data • Send samples to the correct laboratories • Complete weekly machine checklists • Perform ad hoc and other related duties as assigned • Support Agriculture Specialists and Soil Scientists through sample collection and submission
🎯 Requirements
• National Senior Certificate • Agriculture qualification advantageous • Agriculture experience advantageous • Computer literate • Full professional proficiency in Afrikaans and English, speaking and writing • Able to lift and carry more than 12 pounds/6 kg comfortably • Excellent attention to detail • Comfortable with routine work and flexible in ad hoc situations • Able to work under pressure • Excellent communication skills • Effective organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks • Able to work independently and in a team environment • Must own or be able to acquire a suitable pickup truck (bakkie) • Must be available to work every second Saturday, as required • Must be willing to travel extensively, locally and internationally • Must be prepared to work long hours when necessary • Preference given to candidates residing in the area; no relocation assistance provided
