📋 Description

• Take responsibility for operational HR management and help shape an employee-focused work environment • Support the entire employee lifecycle, from onboarding through offboarding • Serve as the first point of contact for employees and managers on People & Culture matters • Prepare, update, and manage employment contracts for permanent employees, freelancers, and Employer of Record employees • Prepare and manage contract amendments, employment references, and other HR-related documents • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee data in the Personio HRIS • Work closely with Finance and the external tax advisor to ensure the timely preparation of payroll • Ensure compliance with German employment, social security, and data protection regulations • Create and maintain job descriptions and publish job advertisements • Coordinate the initial screening of applications and job interviews • Advise and support managers on performance management, professional development, and other HR-related matters • Optimize HR processes and contribute to a positive, collaborative company culture

🎯 Requirements

• 3–5 years of professional experience as an HR Generalist or in People Operations • Experience in recruiting, performance management, employee engagement, compensation, professional development, and employee support • Experience in dynamic, technology-driven companies, such as start-ups or scale-ups • In-depth knowledge of German employment law • Good understanding of HR compliance, payroll processes, and HRIS platforms; Personio experience is preferred • Pragmatic, self-directed, hands-on approach with a high level of attention to detail • Ability to maintain an overview and set priorities in a dynamic environment • Empathy and a strong service-oriented approach to advising and supporting others • Excellent written and spoken German and English skills (C1 level) • Practical experience with Personio is an advantage • Experience using or integrating AI tools for HR or operational processes is an advantage
