📋 Description

• Understanding customer FortiNet security needs and implementing solutions • Migrating existing firewalls into newly deployed FortiNet appliances • Completing FortiNet initial customer configurations and user acceptance testing • Configuring and supporting integrations with supported third party applications and systems • Troubleshooting and resolving customer FortiNet implementations • Completing change requests and monitoring security appliances • Acting upon and resolving security notifications • Pro-actively improving security implementations • Keeping abreast of the evolving products and services made available by FortiNet and its partners • Ensuring that the customer and agent FortiNet appliance service experience is positive • Safeguarding information system assets by identifying and solving potential and actual security problems • Protecting system by defining access privileges, control structures, and resources • Recognizing problems by identifying abnormalities and reporting violations • Implementing security improvements by assessing current situation, evaluating trends, and anticipating requirements • Determining security violations and inefficiencies by conducting periodic audits • Upgrading system by implementing and maintaining security controls • Keeping users and customers informed by preparing performance reports and communicating system status • Maintaining quality service by following organization standards • Maintaining technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing publications.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience • 2+ years of full-time hands-on experience in designing, configuring, implementing, monitoring, and resolving issues on FortiNetFortiGuard security appliances • Active member of a 24x7 team of FortiNet security specialists • System administration • Network security • Problem solving • Information security policies • On-call network troubleshooting • Firewall administration • Network protocols • Advanced FortiNet security certifications • Industry certifications such as SANS GIAC/GCIA/GCIH, Security+ CE, CISSP or CASP • Advanced understanding of TCP/IP, common networking ports and protocols, traffic flow, system administration, OSI model, defense-in-depth and common security elements • Hands-on experience analyzing high volumes of logs, network data (e.g. Netflow, FPC), and other attack artifacts in support of incident investigations • Experience with vulnerability scanning solutions • Must have business-level English proficiency, both written and verbal, and possess strong and clear communication skills.
