β’ Develop a growth-oriented strategy for CPB Canada's education and professional development offerings. β’ Manage and curate diverse programming, including conferences, workshops, webinars, and educational programming. β’ Lead staff through the logistics and execution of programs, ensuring a high-quality experience for every participant. β’ Oversee and negotiate contracts with vendors, suppliers, trainers, and other partners to support programming. β’ Track and analyze program effectiveness and outcomes to continuously improve programming decisions. β’ Plan and execute CPB Canada's education and professional development activities. β’ Assume project and financial responsibility for the annual conference. β’ Oversee the planning and growth of National Bookkeeping Week each year. β’ Build strategies and supporting rationale for broader event planning and execution. β’ Track and analyze event effectiveness to drive continuous improvement. β’ Provide leadership to the marketing and communications strategy, optimizing staff time for a strong return on investment. β’ Protect and enhance the brand identity and reputation of the association. β’ Manage the departmental budget, aligning it with work plans and associated reporting.
β’ Post-secondary degree or diploma in marketing, communications, event management, business administration, or a related field, or an equivalent mix of education and experience. β’ 7β10 years of progressive professional experience, with 3+ years working in a leadership role or capacity. β’ Tech-savvy, with experience selecting and managing Learning Management Systems, event software, and related tools such as webinar platforms, registration systems, CRM platforms (Salesforce), and project management tools. β’ Skilled at negotiating event contracts, including A/V, conference planners, and other vendors. β’ Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to set priorities and make sound decisions. β’ Excellent communication, leadership, and presentation skills, with a talent for building relationships and working with diverse stakeholders. β’ Able to research, analyze findings, and turn insights into strategy. β’ Detail-oriented and able to drive projects to completion across multiple deadlines. β’ Diplomacy and sound judgment with confidential or sensitive matters. β’ Collaborative and ready to pitch in when needed. β’ Flexible and resourceful, with integrity, credibility, and dedication to CPB Canada's mission.
