• Help the Management team monitor the daily work within the Claims department • Responsible for the training and development of new hires and existing department staff • Plan and maintain workflows, procedures and policies that enable and encourage optimum performance • Lead employees to meet Allied’s expectations for productivity, quality, and goal accomplishment • Assist with development and implementation of workflows to improve consistency and accuracy • Ensure adherence to privacy and security laws including HIPAA, HITECH • Monitor all reports including Workflow Manager, Pended claims, Suspended claims, Audits, and Automation • Attend continuing education classes as required, including HIPAA training • Lead, coach, motivate and develop team members
• High school diploma required • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in the healthcare industry preferred • 3 -5 years of experience in healthcare and/or insurance industry preferred • 1-3 years prior supervisory experience preferred • Strong analytical skills • Knowledge of computer systems • Knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 coding terminology • Minimum of 5 years of medical claims analysis and adjudication experience (including dental and vision claims analysis) • Experience in management and training preferred but not required.
