📋 Description
• Leads the Specialty Operations reinsurance claims function, overseeing complex environmental and latent injury exposures • Responsible for strategic leadership, operational excellence, and team development • Directs the handling and resolution of complex claims involving asbestos bodily injury • Oversees investigations, evaluating coverage, liability, damages, and contractual obligations • Reviews and approves coverage strategies ensuring consistency and adherence to organizational standards • Establishes and refines claims processes to improve efficiency and outcomes • Partners with Legal, Finance, Risk Management, and stakeholders to manage risk and resolve complex issues
🎯 Requirements
• 10+ years of relevant claims, insurance, or reinsurance experience • Proven leadership experience managing teams and direct reports • Advanced expertise in environmental and mass tort claims • Strong knowledge of insurance/reinsurance contracts, coverage interpretation, and case law • Deep understanding of claims processes, systems, and regulatory requirements • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
