📋 Description

• Structure, draft, and negotiate complex commercial agreements—especially those involving the sale of technology, data, or service arrangements. • Provide real-time, business-focused commercial legal advice on complex commercial contracts and in areas such as technology and privacy. • Effectively collaborate across business units, compliance, and legal teams to identify issues, drive solutions, and complete commercial transactions. • Lead development of templates, playbooks, and process improvements to support efficient contract review and negotiation. • Anticipate legal issues and offer practical, innovative solutions in fast-paced and dynamic business environments. • Help foster alignment between business goals and legal frameworks in regulated industries. • Navigate ambiguity with confidence and help shape emerging business models and opportunities. • Contribute to a culture of open dialogue and collaborative problem-solving across a distributed, virtual team.

🎯 Requirements

• Juris Doctorate and active bar membership in good standing • A minimum of 7 years of legal experience, ideally within a law firm or the in-house legal department of a mid- to large-sized organization. • Proven expertise in one or more of the following areas: commercial contracting, privacy, technology, artificial intelligence, intellectual property, corporate strategy, data governance, international operations, and/or highly regulated industries. • Experience working within a corporate parent company and across a family of affiliated entities. • Strong leadership capabilities with a focus on collaboration, team development, mentoring, and strategic guidance. • Executive presence with excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Solid project management skills, including the ability to prioritize and deliver across multiple workstreams. • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant legal or business technology tools. • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities. • Demonstrated discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive and confidential information. • High business acumen, including the ability to assess and communicate legal risk in a commercial context and contribute to the development of business cases and return-on-investment evaluations.
