• Develop, coordinate and implement the Telephone Support service • Coordinate and develop the Telephone Support Service in the assigned CHO • Implement all Telephone Support policies and procedures • Coordinate and manage volunteer rostering to ensure adequate service cover • Oversee Telephone Support referrals, follow-up, initial contact and service assessment • Ensure accurate recording of Telephone Support data • Monitor agreed work practices and targets • Integrate the Telephone Support service with other ALONE services • Help develop services and supports for older people • Maintain up-to-date client and volunteer database information in compliance with GDPR • Liaise with the Volunteer Support Officer on recruitment • Provide induction and continuous training for Telephone Support Volunteers • Monitor, evaluate and accredit volunteers, escalating issues as necessary • Support development of a Volunteer Leader Group • Provide volunteer debriefing and psychological first aid following sensitive calls • Promote the service and coordinate communications between care teams, referral agencies, community and voluntary organisations, clients and families • Represent the service at community, county and national meetings or events • Participate in team meetings, service reviews and policy development • Report concerns to the line manager • Monitor workplace health, safety and welfare risks • Meet project-funder reporting requirements • Maintain confidentiality and secure client information • Prepare reports, statistics and information for strategy and media responses • Record and review client details on Salesforce • Achieve organisational strategy and personal PDP goals • Participate in supervision and performance reviews
• Demonstrated passion for improving the lives of older people and commitment to ALONE’s mission • Problem-solving skills, focusing on efficient needs assessment and resource allocation • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities • Proficiency in utilising technology and data management systems • Good organisational and multitasking skills • Keen attention to detail • Enthusiasm for setting and achieving SMART targets • Self-starter with a capacity to work well with stakeholders • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Collaborative team player who fosters strong internal and external relationships • Problem-solving and innovation skills to improve service delivery • Strong time management and organisational skills to prioritise workload and meet KPIs • Ability to work 35 hours per week, 5 over 7 days
