📋 Description

• Define and grow Alpaca's market data business as a standalone, revenue-generating product line • Own Alpaca's market data strategy as both a platform capability and standalone product • Decide what data to source, how to package and price it, and what to build versus buy • Ship APIs, feeds, and tooling for partners and internal teams • Negotiate or inform negotiations on exchange licensing, redistribution rights, and entitlements • Assess data infrastructure sourcing, proprietary collection and normalization, and derived data products • Define pricing and packaging and work with sales to grow market data revenue • Analyze competitive positioning and identify Alpaca's brokerage-plus-data advantage • Own coverage, latency, reliability, and documentation for market data APIs • Lead partner discovery and translate data needs into prioritization

🎯 Requirements

• Experience defining and owning market data strategy • Ability to negotiate or inform negotiations on exchange licensing, redistribution rights, and entitlements • Ability to assess build-vs-buy decisions for data infrastructure • Experience defining pricing and packaging for market data products • Understanding of competitive positioning and market data provider pricing • Experience owning developer experience for market data APIs, including REST, WebSocket/SSE, and historical endpoints • Ability to conduct partner discovery and prioritize market data capabilities • Familiarity with licensing, entitlement, and redistribution constraints across exchanges, asset classes, and geographies
