📋 Description

• Work on post-trade systems for Alpaca’s clearing operations • Build integrations supporting self-clearing in US equities and options • Develop infrastructure enabling new financial products and revenue opportunities • Work on securities finance functions, including fully paid securities lending • Own projects from ideation through deployment • Design and build new systems and refine existing systems • Collaborate with other teams and influence technical and operational decisions • Participate in the on-call rotation to maintain system reliability

🎯 Requirements

• Deep interest in how traditional financial markets work • Ability to lead projects independently from definition through completion • Responsibility for personal and team outcomes • Experience working at startups • Foundational knowledge of computers, the internet, databases, and distributed systems • Productivity with Go, PostgreSQL, and Kubernetes • 5+ years of hands-on experience building reliable and distributed systems • Ability to design good RESTful APIs and identify bad ones • Nice to have: experience in securities clearing and settlement or securities finance • Nice to have: experience with gRPC, Protobuf, Temporal, Grafana, Kafka/Redpanda, Helm, and Docker
