📋 Description

• Design a highly scalable, mission-critical brokerage system • Develop and enhance middle- and back-office systems, including gRPC microservices, a React-based UI, and third-party vendor integrations • Work with core teams to enhance the framework for multiple languages, currencies, and markets • Collaborate with regional tech leads synchronously and asynchronously using Slack and occasional meetings outside regular hours • Troubleshoot incidents and reported bugs to maintain system integrity and performance • Navigate regulatory requirements and build scalable solutions supporting international growth • Serve as operational reliability and engineering lead and incident commander during regional business hours • Support regional recruitment initiatives, cross-functional projects, talent mentoring, and Alpaca culture • Participate in on-call support for timely engineering projects

🎯 Requirements

• Strong problem-solving skills and proactive mindset • Proficiency in Go or similar backend languages • Expertise designing robust and efficient system architectures • Strong communication skills for collaboration with global teams, regulators, vendors, and stakeholders • Ability to act as incident commander and lead/troubleshoot incidents and bugs • Strong computer science fundamentals • Proven software engineering architecture experience • Ability to work independently in a fully remote, globally distributed team and under pressure • Strategic thinking and ability to translate technical concepts into business strategies • Experience with event-driven design
