📋 Description

• Lead mechanical work packages and allocate activities across the mechanical team • Develop and review redesign concepts for pack structures, roof/base skid, cell hardware, piping, fittings, scrubber vessel, and sustaining issues • Drive design reviews, problem resolution, supplier DFM discussions, and cross-functional decisions • Ensure designs maintain critical interfaces and backward compatibility where required • Review CAD, drawings, GD&T, tolerance analyses, BOMs, cost estimates, and validation plans • Coordinate FEA, CFD, plastics, materials, electrical, manufacturing, and sourcing inputs • Contribute to the development of an Iron Air Battery, a large-scale energy storage solution, as mechanical DFX lead for cost, manufacturability, design integration, and technical delivery

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering or related fields • 7+ years of mechanical product-development experience, including technical ownership of complex assemblies • Experience in product design from concept through detailed design, verification, release, and production support • Working knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, DFM/DFA, DFMEA, and engineering change control • Ability to communicate technical tradeoffs, risks, and recommendations across design, manufacturing, analysis, suppliers, and customers • Advanced SolidWorks capability for parts, assemblies, drawings, configurations, and design changes • Experience with PLM/PDM and formal release processes • Demonstrated cost-reduction, supplier collaboration, and technical-leadership experience • Ability to combine CAD, CAE results, supplier feedback, validation planning, and cost data into design decisions • Experience with structures, sheet metal, welded assemblies, piping, fittings, plastics, tolerance analysis, and mechanical interfaces • English level B2–C1
