• Researching and gathering information to support project work • Reviewing and analyzing plan data, financial statements, and other actuarial work products • Providing input to the development of effective solutions • Creating, updating, and maintaining actuarial programs and Excel models • Assisting with the preparation of client reports and presentations • Participating in Athena’s strategy meetings and providing feedback on community initiatives • Demonstrating a strong commitment to personal and professional integrity while supporting Athena’s mission and values
• 3–5 years of experience in health actuarial roles • Progress toward ASA or FSA designation, with at least one exam passed • Proven problem-solving skills and a strong drive to learn • Commitment to Athena’s mission and values • Ability to work independently and thrive in a remote-first environment • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word • Health actuarial experience, including Government-funded (Medicaid, TRICARE, VA, Medicare), Commercial/Employer, and/or other Public/State programs • Programs of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) review & compliance support • Proficiency in SQL, SAS, or similar programming languages/tools, including experience writing queries to analyze data and support business insights.
