• Install, configure, and maintain Linux/Unix-based servers in physical and virtual environments • Monitor system health, identify performance bottlenecks, and resolve infrastructure issues • Implement and maintain security hardening standards • Manage user access and permissions • Perform timely patching and vulnerability remediation • Execute regular backup procedures • Maintain and test disaster recovery processes • Participate in on-call support for business-critical infrastructure if required • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams on system optimization and infrastructure improvements • Own the stability, security, and performance of critical systems
• 3–5 years of hands-on enterprise-level experience managing Linux/Unix environments • Deep knowledge of Linux operating systems • Experience with kernel tuning • Experience with file system management, including LVM and RAID • Advanced command-line proficiency • Mandatory hands-on experience with Puppet • Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP/email services, NTP, IP routing, and/or OS-level firewall configuration • Scripting proficiency in Bash, Python, or Perl • Familiarity with Git and GitFlow-based processes • Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues • Nice to have: GCP infrastructure experience • Nice to have: Terraform experience • Nice to have: Ansible familiarity • Nice to have: Docker, Kubernetes, or Docker Swarm knowledge • Nice to have: RHCSA, RHCE, or GCP Professional Cloud Architect certification
