📋 Description

• Work on complex software development and modernization initiatives for a major financial services customer in Germany • Perform hands-on Java development, software architecture, migration, testing, DevOps and technical ownership • Translate business requirements into reliable, secure and scalable software solutions • Design programming specifications and support the re-engineering of existing enterprise applications • Design and implement high-quality Java and Spring Boot solutions • Take responsibility for technical architecture and further system development • Develop scalable, secure and maintainable microservices and REST APIs • Perform component and integration testing and develop automated test scenarios • Further develop CI/CD, DevOps and test automation processes • Contribute to application modernization and migration activities • Conduct code reviews and pair programming while promoting Clean Code and engineering best practices • Create and maintain technical and operational documentation • Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts and Subsystem Owners • Mentor developers and support knowledge sharing within the team • Support release and test management activities and ensure compliance with engineering, quality and security standards • Structure complex technical challenges and develop effective solutions in a regulated banking environment

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Full-Stack Java Developer in Java-based development projects • Strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices and REST APIs • Strong experience with software architecture, distributed systems and object-oriented data modelling • Professional experience in banking, financial services, securities or another regulated financial environment • Strong knowledge of connecting Java applications to relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL • Experience with application modernization, re-engineering and migration projects • Strong experience with automated and manual testing, test automation and quality assurance • Strong knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps, version control, build and release management • Experience with private cloud environments, cloud migration, security, compliance and governance • Practical experience with Large Language Models and their application in software development • Experience with Clean Code, software design patterns, code reviews and secure coding practices • Fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken • Ability to work independently in a highly regulated enterprise environment
