📋 Description

• Application engineering support and on-site assistance at our customers' plants for Mercedes‑Benz in Düsseldorf and Bremen, as well as serving as a nationwide floater • Handling and responding to application-related technical inquiries regarding products and processes • Planning, conducting and evaluating application-technical trials at customer sites to assess processes and materials, including documentation of tests, results and conclusions • Independent handling, assessment and processing of customer complaints/claims • Root-cause analysis of issues and development of suitable optimization measures based on practical experience and existing product management guidelines • Application engineering support for the market introduction of new products, systems and technologies in close cooperation with Marketing, Product Management and Sales • Leading and participating in related projects (with OEMs) — advantageous

🎯 Requirements

• Completed vocational training as a paint/coating laboratory technician, further training as a paint technician or master painter, or a comparable qualification, plus relevant professional experience • Several years' professional experience working on-site at customer plants • Knowledge of equipment and painting/coating processes in automotive plants or their suppliers • Good product-related knowledge and skills (conventional and water‑based systems) • Strong comprehension and analytical skills combined with a solution-oriented approach and quick responsiveness • Good communication skills • Above-average commitment and flexibility • Convincing and reliable manner when dealing with customers • Fluent German and good English language skills • Good application-related IT skills
