📋 Description

• Own the technical security posture of production AI systems, including infrastructure, pipelines, and agents • Harden cloud infrastructure, APIs, internal tooling, and CI/CD pipelines through encryption, secrets management, logging, and access controls • Conduct vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, adversarial testing, threat modeling, and manual security reviews • Drive vulnerability remediation through closure • Secure AI and agentic systems against prompt injection, adversarial inputs, unauthorized actions, unsafe outputs, and data leakage • Monitor production AI systems for anomalies, abuse attempts, and unsafe decisions • Own Azumo's automated security, cost, and architecture audit across client codebases • Build alerting and detection, investigate incidents, and lead containment, remediation, root-cause analysis, and preventative changes • Maintain operational visibility into access patterns and security events • Handle security questionnaires, vendor risk assessments, enterprise RFPs, and technical security discussions with clients • Conduct architecture reviews and promote secure development practices with engineering, Product, Compliance, and Operations • Work within client repositories, tooling, and compliance reviews, including engagements with HIPAA requirements

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in security engineering, infrastructure security, application security, DevSecOps, or offensive security • Engineering fundamentals including testing, code review, CI/CD, Git, containers, and API design • Deep, current knowledge of the AWS ecosystem • Demonstrated experience identifying and remediating vulnerabilities in live production systems • Experience securing AI or LLM-powered systems or automated agents, including prompt injection, adversarial inputs, unauthorized actions, unsafe outputs, and data leakage • Working knowledge of SOC 2 and PCI DSS compliance frameworks and financial and consumer data handling expectations • Self-directed prioritization in a fast-moving environment • Active use of AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot in real delivery work • Strong communication skills for explaining findings to engineers and clients • Clear written and spoken English, C1 or above • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience • Familiarity with prompt-injection attacks, adversarial AI techniques, AI guardrails, and behavioral anomaly detection • Experience with cloud security tooling, SIEM and observability platforms, penetration testing tools, endpoint security platforms, and infrastructure-as-code security such as Terraform or Bicep • Prior experience in high-growth startup, fintech, banking, or payments environments • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, AWS Security Specialty, or similar • Contributions to open-source security tooling, published technical writing, or active participation in the security community
