📋 Description

• Design and maintain end-to-end and integration automation for consumer-facing web and app experiences using TypeScript with Playwright • Test complete buyer and seller journeys, including project creation, professional contact, lead claiming, reviews, and app install/deep-link flows • Test frontend/backend seams, API contracts, event-driven flows, eventual consistency, and failure scenarios • Partner with engineers from design through production to address testability gaps • Build and maintain Datadog synthetic monitoring for critical production user journeys • Use SQL to validate backend system state • Validate analytics, tracking, and experiment instrumentation • Integrate tests into CI/CD and improve observability and alerting • Design and maintain performance tests and provide capacity and scaling recommendations • Drive AI tooling adoption within the squad and QE chapter • Contribute to AI-assisted test planning, execution, and failure triage • Run QE Guild technical-sharing sessions and mentor colleagues across squads • Help raise quality engineering standards across the company

🎯 Requirements

• Must be based in Spain • 5+ years in SDET / Quality Engineering • Strong experience testing consumer-facing web products end to end • Expert-level test automation in TypeScript with Playwright and/or Cypress • Ability to build maintainable, fast, and reliable automation frameworks • Strong API testing at integration and contract levels • Experience testing event-driven and asynchronous flows • Ability to read and reason about frontend and backend code • Strong SQL for data validation, test data setup, and investigation • Practical experience applying AI to Quality Engineering work • Understanding of LLM behavior and agentic tooling in testing • Hands-on synthetic monitoring experience, ideally with Datadog • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills • Experience testing mobile apps and deep-link/app-install journeys • Experience with MCP servers and agentic test workflows • Experience validating A/B experiments and analytics instrumentation • Accessibility and cross-browser/cross-device testing experience • Background in two-sided marketplaces or high-traffic consumer products • Familiarity with contract testing or service virtualisation • Broader language exposure, such as PHP or Python
