📋 Description

• The Financial Data Analyst is responsible for extracting, analyzing, and interpreting financial and operational data to support budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and strategic decision-making. • Develop and maintain complex SQL queries to extract, clean, and transform data from multiple systems. • Conduct detailed analysis of financial datasets to identify trends, variances, and cost drivers. • Apply financial and accounting principles to analyze costs, margins, revenue, spend patterns, and budget performance. • Develop cost allocation models, forecasting templates, and analytical frameworks to support cost optimization. • Support month-end close activities by providing data-driven insights and variance analysis. • Work closely with cross functional teams to understand business needs and align reporting structures. • Collaborate to refine templates, standardize financial reports, and enhance cost tracking methodologies. • Present insights to stakeholders in a clear, concise, and data-driven manner. • Create dashboards, financial reports, and KPI scorecards using BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) for management insights. • Maintain documentation for SQL logic, data models, and reporting processes.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Business, Economics, or related field. • Strong proficiency in SQL (joins, subqueries, window functions, ETL logic, performance optimization). • Solid understanding of finance and accounting principles (costing, accruals, general ledger, budgeting). • Experience working with large datasets and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server). • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, financial modeling). • Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
