📋 Description

• Complete and maintain credentialing applications for BCBAs, RBTs, and providers • Manage CAQH profiles, updates, and attestations • Ensure timely payer enrollment for new clinicians and recredentialing for existing staff • Track credentialing status and communicate updates to leadership • Submit initial and ongoing treatment authorization requests to health plans • Monitor authorization expirations and ensure renewals are completed on time • Assist with claim-related issues that require payer communication • Serve as BH Field’s primary point of contact with insurance payers • Conduct follow-ups with insurance companies regarding claims, policies, and escalations • Negotiate reimbursement rates and contract terms when opportunities arise • Maintain positive and professional relationships with payer representatives • Ensure all credentialing, contracting, and authorization processes meet payer compliance standards • Maintain accurate digital records of contracts, fee schedules, and policy changes • Support internal audits and help ensure BH Field meets regulatory requirements • Provide clear communication to clinical and administrative teams regarding insurance updates, changes, and requirements • Support leadership with reports and summaries related to credentialing, authorizations, and rate negotiations • Assist in developing internal workflows and process improvements

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in insurance credentialing, authorizations, or payer relations (ABA or healthcare preferred) • Strong understanding of commercial insurance plans and behavioral health billing • Excellent organization, attention to detail, and time-management skills • Ability to work independently in a remote environment • Experience with ABA services, CPT codes, and authorization workflows (Preferred) • Familiarity with CAQH and payer portals (Aetna, Cigna, BCBS, UHC, etc.) (Preferred) • Experience negotiating rates or handling payer contracts (Preferred)
