📋 Description

• Define and own the financial systems strategy and roadmap across ERP, sub-ledgers, reporting, reconciliation, and automation platforms • Build, lead, and develop the Financial Systems team, including hiring, performance management, mentoring, and career growth • Manage team capacity and workload, prioritizing initiatives and balancing operational support with transformation projects • Drive finance transformation end-to-end by identifying manual processes, designing automation solutions, and overseeing implementation from prototype to production • Own ERP platform strategy, including integrations, data model, customizations, and upgrade path • Champion AI and automation adoption across finance, including LLM-powered workflows, RPA, copilots, anomaly detection, and automated journal-entry generation • Build and maintain scalable data pipelines between finance systems, data warehouses, and BI tools • Partner with Finance leadership to translate business needs into technical solutions and bridge accounting operations with engineering • Own system controls, audit readiness, and data integrity across financial platforms; ensure SOX/compliance requirements are met • Establish a self-service toolkit using Python, SQL, VBA, low-code platforms, and AI assistants • Manage vendor relationships and evaluate build-versus-buy decisions • Oversee UAT governance and release management for financial system changes • Report to finance and senior leadership on transformation progress, automation metrics, and system health

🎯 Requirements

• 12–15+ years across finance operations, systems, and technology leadership — ideally in FinTech, Financial Services, or fast-paced tech • Deep ERP expertise (NetSuite, SAP, or Workday) including integrations, data migrations, and platform strategy • Proven track record leading finance transformation programs — automation, system consolidations, or greenfield platform implementations • Hands-on builder mindset: proficiency in Python, SQL, and/or VBA; comfort prototyping solutions directly • Demonstrated experience deploying AI/ML or RPA in production finance environments (JE automation, reconciliation, anomaly detection, reporting) • Experience building and leading lean, high-output teams — including hiring, performance management, and developing talent in resource-constrained environments • Strong understanding of internal controls, SOX/compliance, and audit requirements for financial systems • Excellent stakeholder management — able to influence CFO-level leadership and collaborate with engineering counterparts • Comfort with ambiguity and rapid change; bias toward action and building over planning and delegating • Passion for crypto and blockchain technology
