Bioland e. V. is a leading German organic farming association representing around 10,000 farms and food businesses in Germany and South Tyrol. It develops and enforces strict Bioland guidelines that go beyond legal organic standards, supports producers and market partners with certification, quality assurance, practice-oriented research, training and events, and promotes regional, seasonal and animal-welfare-oriented food systems. The organization also runs related initiatives including a foundation, naturschutz (conservation) services, publishing, and consumer-facing information and marketplaces.

📋 Description

• Advise our member farms on all topics and crops related to market-oriented organic arable farming • Develop practical strategies for implementing arable cropping on farms • Organize and conduct workshops and field days and deliver technical presentations • Participate in applied/on-farm research projects • Collaborate with raw material aggregators and processors to strengthen marketing opportunities and connect production and trade

🎯 Requirements

• Professional knowledge and practical experience in organic arable farming • Degree in agricultural sciences, qualification as a master craftsman or technician in agricultural management, or a comparable qualification • Enthusiasm for organic-biological farming and the motivation to actively develop it further • Willingness to travel for consulting, projects and events • Enjoy working with agricultural businesses and an open, communicative manner • German language skills (written and spoken) at C1 level required • Enjoy communicating knowledge clearly — including delivering presentations at workshops and field days • Willingness to travel within the assignment area
