Bioland e. V. is a leading German organic farming association representing around 10,000 farms and food businesses in Germany and South Tyrol. It develops and enforces strict Bioland guidelines that go beyond legal organic standards, supports producers and market partners with certification, quality assurance, practice-oriented research, training and events, and promotes regional, seasonal and animal-welfare-oriented food systems. The organization also runs related initiatives including a foundation, naturschutz (conservation) services, publishing, and consumer-facing information and marketplaces.

📋 Description

• Provide advisory services to our member farms on all topics and crops in market-oriented organic arable farming • Develop practical strategies for implementing arable farming practices on farms • Organize and conduct workshops and field days, and deliver technical presentations • Participate in applied research projects • Collaborate with raw material aggregators and processors to strengthen market opportunities and connect production with trade

🎯 Requirements

• Professional knowledge and practical experience in organic arable farming • Degree in agricultural sciences, qualification as a master craftsman (Meister) or agricultural technician, or an equivalent qualification • Enthusiasm for organic farming and the motivation to actively advance it • Willingness to travel for advisory services, projects and events • Enjoy working with farms and an open, communicative manner • German language skills (spoken and written) at C1 level required • Enjoy conveying knowledge clearly — including giving presentations at workshops and field days • Willingness to travel within the area of assignment
