📋 Description

• Own the QA process on projects end to end, including test strategy, test cases, regression suites, and release sign-off • Run manual and exploratory testing across web and mobile, including functional, boundary, negative, cross-browser, responsive, and unplanned user paths • Build and maintain automated test coverage and use coding agents to write, extend, and repair test suites • Test AI features for non-deterministic output, prompt regressions, hallucinations, failure modes, and evaluation performance • Research and pilot new AI testing tools and report on effectiveness, cost, and whether to retain them • Write actionable bug reports with reproduction steps, environment, severity, evidence, and expected versus actual results • Learn each product deeply by reading specifications, interrogating requirements, understanding users, and identifying likely failure points • Keep the team current on release status, coverage, blockers, and accepted shipping risks

🎯 Requirements

• Clear written English and an instinct to over-communicate • Same-day escalation of issues • Ownership and responsibility for QA quality and status • Real production testing experience, including manual and exploratory testing • Ability to derive and prioritize meaningful test cases from thin specifications • Experience maintaining automation with Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium • API testing experience • Enough JavaScript or Python to fix flaky tests • Working knowledge of the software development life cycle and QA's role in it • Hands-on experience with Claude, Cursor, or Gemini for test generation and triage • Design-quality awareness, including visual defects, broken empty states, and placeholder copy • Four hours of daily overlap with US business hours
