📋 Description

• License sales & customer support • Preparing offers and presenting suitable titles to international partners • Supporting contract negotiations and closings • Managing selected international markets and expanding existing customer relationships • Assisting with new customer acquisition and outreach to potential licensing partners (publishers, agencies) • Coordinating and processing licensing deals • Organizational support for co-productions and rights assignments (including scheduling and compiling materials) • Drafting, reviewing and processing contracts and invoices • Maintaining relevant data in our publishing software (e.g. SVS) • Creating and maintaining English-language marketing materials (e.g. Foreign Rights Catalogue, newsletters) • Maintaining our English-language foreign-rights website • Managing complimentary/review copies (e.g. shipping to authors/creators, German National Library, internal archive) • Deadline monitoring (e.g. renewals, rights reversion) • Active participation in the preparation for, attendance at and follow-up to international book fairs such as the Frankfurt Book Fair and the Bologna Children’s Book Fair, as well as SPIEL in Essen and the Nuremberg Toy Fair • Presenting the program to international partners

🎯 Requirements

• A successfully completed degree — ideally in Book Studies, Humanities, Media Studies or a related field • Enthusiasm for books and games and interest in international licensing • Excellent written and spoken German and English; enjoyment in drafting English texts • Initial experience in licensing, international collaboration or publishing • Strong organizational skills and enjoyment of structured, independent work • Digital affinity and confident use of Microsoft 365 (Teams, Word, Excel) • Intercultural competence and ideally additional language skills (French, Spanish) • Openness to using AI and digital tools; ideally some experience with AI applications or a willingness to learn and engage with them actively
