📋 Description

• Build private equity, credit, and debt models from scratch in Excel without templates • Structure transactions, assumptions, and key drivers • Link the full model flow from operations through cash flow and debt to returns • Review and debug models built by others, identifying flawed assumptions, broken logic, and hidden risks • Explain why a model works, not only what it outputs • Complete a take-home Excel modeling exercise designed to mirror real-world deal work

🎯 Requirements

• 2–10 years in finance roles with heavy, hands-on modeling • Buy-side PE experience, including deal diligence, portfolio company modeling, and IC materials backed by your own models, strongly preferred • Background in private equity, leveraged finance, sponsor coverage, private credit, direct lending, or credit underwriting • Experience building models that drove real investment or lending decisions • Sharp attention to detail • Strong written and spoken English • Experience with private equity/LBO modeling, including sources & uses, transaction assumptions, multi-tranche debt schedules, returns analysis, operating models, sensitivities, downside cases, and exit scenarios • Experience with credit/debt modeling, including covenant modeling, leverage, DSCR, interest coverage, downside and stress cases, amortization, PIK, cash sweeps, refinancing mechanics, recovery analysis, and payment waterfalls • CFA, CA, MBA Finance, or equivalent backgrounds welcome • Investment banking or corporate finance candidates require top-tier backgrounds and hands-on LBO, debt, or credit modeling experience • Ability to complete an approximately 3-hour take-home Excel modeling exercise independently
