📋 Description

• Strategic leadership and further development of the legal function • Structuring, building and strategically developing a growing legal team (law students, legal trainees/Referendare, fully qualified lawyers) and managing the integration with any internal law office • Establishing legally effective association structures and resolutions while mitigating liability risks • Internal legal advice, compliance & governance • Responsible handling of all internal legal matters, including strategic assessment • Supporting the board, division heads and working groups on employment and contract law, association law and bylaws, compliance and governance, as well as data protection • Designing and implementing efficient processes for the structured handling of legal matters • Proper handling and prioritization of consumer rights inquiries, including standardized legal classification and ensuring clear protective mechanisms (comprehensive coverage through D&O, liability, legal expenses and VSHP insurances is provided) • Coordinating external operational implementation such as legal pursuit, enforcement and determination in consumer and corporate law matters • Managing, reviewing and legally evaluating contracts with external partners, service providers and funding institutions • Drafting contracts for projects, collaborations and memberships • Filing applications under § 4d UKlaG and § 8 UWG for inclusion in the lists of qualified bodies and building a partnership structure with lawyers and law firms for outsourcing litigation

🎯 Requirements

• Fully qualified lawyer with a completed Second State Examination (2. Staatsexamen) and a solid understanding of civil, consumer and corporate law issues • Experience in leading, building or strategically developing legal structures—ideally in a responsible role within a law firm, organization or legal department • Strong strategic thinking and design skills to structure complex legal and organizational challenges and translate them into future-proof solutions • Ability to prepare complex matters clearly, understandably and in a practice-oriented manner • Sense of responsibility, leadership skills and a structured way of working • Ambition to rethink consumer protection in Germany and to advance sustainable, common-good-oriented developments • Willingness to serve in a volunteer capacity within a remotely organized association
