📋 Description

• Contribute to the month-end close process and improve closing speed and accuracy • Own and manage accounts receivable end-to-end • Maintain up-to-date aging records and apply credits and collections • Account for uncollectible amounts and clear miscellaneous differences • Support the UK entity with payroll reviews and VAT returns • Keep financial data clean, reconciled, and audit-ready • Handle high-volume payment flows across gateways, banks, and currencies • Support accounts payable and payroll journals, including international payroll setups and external providers • Assist with audit queries • Coordinate with the German entity accountant and Slovenian partners • Identify slow or unscalable processes and improve or automate them • Report directly to the Financial Controller and work alongside another Accountant and Slovenian partners

🎯 Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in a hands-on accounting role such as Accountant, GL Accountant, or Financial Accountant • Experience ideally in a SaaS or high-growth environment • Strong accounting foundation: ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent, or working towards one • Experience with UK accounting, including UK GAAP and/or IFRS in multi-entity or international environments • Ability to identify and improve processes without waiting to be asked • Confidence handling high transaction volumes, reconciliations, and complex moving parts • Clear ownership and ability to complete assigned work • Great attention to detail and strong organizational skills • Clear communication across teams and with external partners • Exposure to broader EU accounting environments, especially Germany or Slovenia, is an advantage • Familiarity with NetSuite is an advantage • Experience in a fast-moving, sometimes undefined, or high-growth environment is an advantage • Practical mindset for improving and automating repetitive work • Must be located in Europe, ideally CET or a nearby time zone • Include the word "ledger" in the first sentence of the cover letter
