📋 Description

• Responsible for carrying out financial assessments for individuals receiving adult social care services • Ensuring contributions towards care costs are calculated accurately and in line with legislation, policies, and procedures • Gathering and reviewing financial information • Advising service users and families on charging arrangements • Maintaining accurate records • Working closely with internal teams to support fair and timely assessments • Delivering excellent customer service

🎯 Requirements

• Previous experience in financial assessments, income maximisation, benefits administration, social care finance, or a similar role • Knowledge of Adult Social Care charging policies, welfare benefits, and relevant legislation (e.g., Care Act 2014) desirable • Strong numeracy skills with the ability to analyse financial information accurately • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience supporting vulnerable individuals or families • Ability to manage a varied caseload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment • Good IT skills, including experience using Microsoft Office and case management systems • High attention to detail with strong organisational and record-keeping abilities • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and professionally • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths; relevant qualifications in finance, business administration, or social care are advantageous
