📋 Description

• Take technical leadership of design, build, and deployment of advanced AI/ML solutions aligned with business and scientific goals • Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and product teams to integrate models into production workflows • Promote best practices for development, testing, deployment, and ongoing model performance • Track emerging AI technologies and introduce new tools to keep the team at the forefront • Maintain strict data privacy, security, and ethical standards • Contribute to shaping and executing the R&D organization’s AI strategy, including end-to-end development of robust, scalable models and platforms • Mentor and provide technical leadership for a team of AI and machine learning engineers • Ensure successful deployment of cutting-edge AI technologies and foster a strong, data-driven culture of innovation and excellence

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive AI/ML engineering experience • Proven success delivering production-grade, scalable AI/ML solutions • Deep, hands-on experience in training, fine-tuning, hosting, and deploying large-scale generative models • Mastery of PyTorch (preferred) or TensorFlow for model development and optimization • Demonstrated expertise in Agentic AI design and orchestration (e.g., LangGraph, LangChain) • Strong capability in context engineering, prompt engineering, Agent/Graph RAG, text-to-SQL generation, and multimodal AI • Robust knowledge of MLOps best practices including CI/CD pipelines for machine learning, model versioning, automated testing, and scalable deployment • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) • Familiarity with biomedical and pharmaceutical NLP technologies (cTAKES, BioGPT, PubMed-based LLMs) preferred • Experience applying knowledge graphs and ontology-driven reasoning to drug discovery, clinical data integration, or molecular research is a strong plus • Exceptional ability to lead and partner with cross-functional technical teams, mentor other engineers, and drive alignment with scientists, product leaders, and business stakeholders • Superior communication skills for conveying complex AI concepts to diverse audiences, including research and regulatory teams • Deep appreciation of data privacy, security best practices, and ethical considerations in AI development and deployment • Required: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering, or closely related technical field (Ph.D. preferred)
