• Capgemini is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate Data Engineer for a top 10 US Insurance Carrier. • Our Client is one of the United States’ largest insurers, providing a wide range of insurance and financial services products with gross written premiums well over US$25 Billion (P&C). • They proudly serve more than 10 million U.S. households with more than 19 million individual policies across all 50 states through the efforts of over 48,000 exclusive and independent agents and nearly 18,500 employees. • Finally, our client is part of one the largest Insurance Groups in the world. • The purpose of this role it two-fold, first to be able to define, understand, quantify and explain the metrics being captured for the department. • Working with Data Leadership and Data team leads to determine metrics to capture and measure for progress and also work with them to define how the metric will be defined and calculated. • Ability to grasp reporting concepts related to data and understand difference that exist for different data teams/types of data (Operational, financial, etc...) • Secondly to be able to build and maintain dashboards and reports for the data department, expert in visualization technologies such as PowerBI. • The PowerBI Reporting Specialist will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions using PowerBI. • This role will work closely with stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and translate them into actionable insights. • The Reporting Specialist is a critical part of the department, defining, capturing and publishing our metrics ensuring continuous improvement and driving adherence to achieving goals.
• Bachelor´s degree • English proficiency • Power BI Expertise (4-6 years of experience) • Strong hands-on experience creating, modifying, and maintaining reports and dashboards. • Comfortable connecting to various backend systems. • Must have experience with real-world Power BI reporting. • Ability to understand stakeholder needs and translate them into effective visuals. • Can communicate data insights clearly and influence teams. • Able to problem-solve and normalize inconsistent data from multiple sources. • Must handle ambiguity and shift priorities well. • Nice-to-Have Skills • Exposure to data tools like SQL Server, Snowflake, ETL concepts, or understanding of data quality dimensions. • Familiarity with data environments will help with faster onboarding but is not required. • Strong team player willing to share knowledge and train others on Power BI. • High emotional intelligence to work with 13+ data teams and adapt to their communication styles. • Self-starter who can handle a high volume of complex, changing information. • Influencing skills – can build relationships and elicit the right data from stakeholders. • Able to handle large volume of information and existing reports. • Normalizing inconsistent metrics across teams for unified reporting.
