📋 Description

• Fully remote position with the Virtual Hospital Medicine team • Schedule consists of 7 on / 7 off overnight shifts, including rotating weekends and holidays • Responsibilities include virtual admissions, overnight cross-coverage, and ongoing clinical management for adult hospitalized patients • Perform virtual admissions, overnight cross-coverage, and ongoing inpatient clinical management • Collaborate with Hospital Medicine physicians, bedside APPs, nursing, and interdisciplinary care teams • Document all patient encounters, records observations, interventions, and activities in a medically appropriate manner within the patient’s medical record

🎯 Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program • Nurse Practitioners must hold a Master’s Degree or Doctorate in Nursing Practice with ACNP or AGACNP board certification • Physician Assistants must hold certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) • Current license to practice as an NP or PA in North Carolina • Current prescriptive privileges and DEA license • BLS for Healthcare Provider (AHA) must be valid at least 90 days beyond start date • Hospital Medicine, Internal Medicine, Critical Care, Emergency Medicine, or other acute inpatient experience preferred • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment with appropriate critical thinking and interpersonal skills • Ability to perform thorough history and physical assessments • Ability to function within a multidisciplinary team
