📋 Description

• Conduct regular field visits to meet with apprentices, trainees, employers and other stakeholders. • Monitor compliance with the Apprenticeship and Traineeship Act 2001, training contracts, Training Plans and related regulatory requirements. • Provide independent advice and guidance on apprenticeships, traineeships, vocational training and related legislation. • Identify, investigate and resolve apprenticeship and traineeship issues, disputes and non-compliance through negotiation and regulatory intervention where required. • Facilitate courageous conversations and influence positive outcomes for all parties. • Build and maintain effective relationships with employers, Registered Training Organisations (RTOs), Apprentice Connect Australia Providers (ACAP) providers and other key stakeholders. • Promote and deliver NSW Government programs, initiatives and services that support skills development and workforce participation. • Maintain accurate case records, reports and regulatory documentation using departmental systems. • Manage competing priorities, meet performance targets and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

🎯 Requirements

• Current and valid Working with Children Check Clearance for paid employment. • Current and Valid Driver’s Licence as it’s a field based role • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education. • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to have courageous and constructive conversations. • Resilient, self-directed, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team. • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage diverse tasks. • A high level of professionalism and the ability to influence positive behaviour and practices. • Experience in stakeholder engagement and relationship management. • Knowledge of the apprenticeship and VET system is advantageous but not essential. • Committed to delivering high-quality support services and achieving positive outcomes. • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
