• Provide personal care, medical interventions, tube feeds and pre-dosed medications according to each child’s individual care plan • Maintain the child’s safety and well-being and promptly report concerns to parents as outlined in training • Support children predominantly in their homes, as well as during appropriate activities, education and community outings • Use equipment safely and hygienically according to training • Build positive professional relationships with parents and children • Provide care in children’s communities, particularly remote areas, to bridge access to care gaps • Provide respite for parents and family members • Work with the Complex Care Hub under the support of the Family Healthcare Support Manager and Education Team
• Ability to complete verbal and written tasks delivered in English (Professional Working Proficiency/C1/Advanced High ACTFL/3 ILR) • Well-developed communication skills and a professional manner • Ability to travel independently • Victorian license and own car or access to one is highly desired • General computer skills • Ability to enter information accurately • Influenza vaccination annually for Category A and B roles, unless medically exempt • Compliance with other vaccination or immunity directions unless exempt • Successful completion of background checks including reference checks • Compliance with mandatory documents and inherent requirements outlined in the position description
