📋 Description

• Manage, coach, and support a squad of 4–8 engineers • Set expectations, provide feedback, and support engineers’ growth • Establish priorities, delivery plans, and technical direction with the Product Manager • Contribute to team OKRs grounded in customer needs, business priorities, and technical reality • Coordinate with Compliance, Operations, Product, Design, and other engineering teams • Review technical proposals and make trade-offs explicit • Contribute to design documents, code reviews, incident follow-up, and complex implementations • Improve delivery practices, observability, reliability, on-call processes, and engineering quality • Own reliability and availability of systems within the team’s scope • Establish technical vision with Product and Design • Represent technical choices and trade-offs to peers and leadership • Participate in and lead incident management where appropriate

🎯 Requirements

• At least a first experience managing engineers, as an Engineering Manager, Tech Lead, or Team Lead • Engineering background sufficient for credible technical conversations about backend systems, data flow, correctness constraints, and technical trade-offs • Comfortable with event-driven architectures and asynchronous systems • Understanding of correctness, auditability, and reliability in regulated financial systems • Comfortable creating structure in ambiguous environments and clarifying ownership • Ability to communicate technical trade-offs to engineers, Product Managers, Compliance leads, and VPs • Experience working in remote or hybrid environments with distributed, multicultural teams • Ability to work across multiple systems, teams, and stakeholders • Ability to participate in system design and distributed-systems exercises
