📋 Description
• Leads the planning, design, implementation and effective use of the EMR application (EPIC) • Serves as champion for Connect (EPIC) adoption and the involvement, education and support of staff in all Connect (EPIC) efforts • Works in partnership with the IT leadership team to ensure that the Connect (EPIC) system supports WHS improvement efforts and integrate effectively with WHS IT services • Provides leadership and expertise in the area of EMR applications, and its acquisition and management • Ensures optimal utilization of the Connect (EPIC) system • Works closely with project leaders and other Connect (Epic) team members to design, build and implement the clinical applications for WellStar Health System • Responsible for staff training, development, and motivation • Key to integration of new processes and software across inpatient and/or outpatient settings • Manages all phases of the IT project delivery life cycle and provides high level and individual support • Acts as a liaison between the application team, the technical team and operations • Assists in the development of project-specific work plans, task sequencing, and the extent to which tasks can be performed concurrently
🎯 Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree Required • Bachelor's Degree of Computer Science, Information Systems Preferred or related field Preferred • All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated • Minimum 5 years related work experience Required • Minimum 3 years experience in a supervisory or managerial role Required • Minimum 3 years experience managing implementations of large-scale, complex, multi-disciplined, cross-functional and highly visible projects/programs and cross organizational teams • Significant project management experience with proven ability to manage, execute, control and achieve closure of large, complex projects is required • Experience with business process redesign, benefits realization and project planning in a healthcare environment • Possess a strong background in healthcare with large software application design and implementation projects • Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with clinical departments and cross-functional teams, and to deliver projects on time and on budget • Significant experience in evaluating software packages and working with application vendors and system integrators
