📋 Description

• Design and program advanced building automation systems, site-specific configuration of control system, and control algorithms (using WebCTRL software suite). • Develop and mentor other Controls Engineers. • Adhere to project requirements and company and customer standards of design, programming, and implementation. • Create a clear design document for project teams with technical information. • Document and communicate the building automation system design and revisions. • Develop graphical and text-based interfaces for building automation systems (using Eikon and VieBuilder). • Test programming and interfaces prior to implementation. • Provide technical support to sales representatives to ensure customers’ needs are met. • Support of functional testing for complex building systems. • Provide input and advise others on design and programming standards, to include parts and practices. • Identification and communication of project opportunities and risks related to cost, time, and technical considerations. • Timely creation of requests for information (RFIs). • Clear communication and proactive expectation setting with manager and project teams both internal and external. • Adherence to safety standards. • High regard for employee and subcontractor safety. • Adherence to ethics standards. • Exemplifies the Carrier code of ethics. • Other duties as assigned.

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED • 10+ years of HVAC, Controls or Building Automation experience • Must be willing to travel up to 10% • Capable of climbing ladders or using other lift equipment over 8 feet above grade, and capable of lifting items up to 50lbs. • Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering or construction discipline with 6+ years industry experience OR Associate Degree with 8+ years of industry experience. • Experience in HVAC controls or related industry. • Proficient with advanced functions of building automation system software and associated engineering tools, Automated Logic suites preferred. • Advance working knowledge of Automated Logic software, hardware, peripherals, add-ons, and services. • Proficient in third-party communication protocols used in building automation, such as BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, LON, N2, etc. • Knowledge with Enterprise IP networks and Microsoft Visio, or similar software. • Experience with advanced written sequences of operations, diagrammatic depictions of systems. • Able to translate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences. • Provide guidance and direction to other team members.
