📋 Description

• Develop and advance technically sound methane policies, regulations, initiatives, and projects across the agriculture, waste, and energy sectors • Research policy effectiveness and political feasibility • Design and execute advocacy strategies supporting ambitious methane mitigation policies • Build trusted relationships and coalitions across government, civil society, industry, academia, partner organizations, and international institutions throughout Latin America • Design workshops, trainings, webinars, and roundtables to strengthen methane mitigation planning and implementation capabilities • Translate complex technical and policy information into reports, recommendations, presentations, testimony, briefings, and other materials • Identify emerging opportunities, priorities, and partnerships to expand CATF’s regional methane work • Collaborate with methane, advocacy, communications, technical, and regional teams • Provide direction and collaborative supervision to the Fossil Fuel Policy Analyst for Latin America and the Caribbean • Contribute to project planning, consultant coordination, budget implementation, and broader program development • Connect Latin American experience with CATF’s broader global methane strategy

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in public policy, environmental science, engineering, economics, law, international relations, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in climate, energy, environmental policy, advocacy, or a closely related field • Demonstrated experience developing or advancing public policy initiatives and evaluating policy or regulatory approaches • Knowledge of climate, energy, environmental, or regulatory systems in Latin America, with experience working across multiple countries in the region • Experience engaging government stakeholders and policymakers in Latin America and operating effectively within complex political and stakeholder environments • Professional fluency in both Spanish and English, including the ability to communicate technical and policy concepts clearly in writing and presentations • Demonstrated ability to build partnerships, support coalitions, negotiate effectively, and influence policy change among stakeholders with different priorities • Strong project leadership, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote, international environment • Candidates must be authorized to work in their country of residence
