📋 Description

• Own and improve the data ingest Java service for enriched transfer generation and aggregations • Design and tune PostgreSQL transaction batching, indexing, and replication strategies • Evaluate next-generation architecture technologies through proofs of concept and latency benchmarks • Write ADRs and contribute to delivering the next generation to production • Build and maintain scalable AWS API services handling thousands of requests per second • Automate network onboarding end-to-end • Debug production issues across microservices • Define SLOs and participate in the on-call rotation • Integrate LLM-based tools into daily engineering work • Build agentic automation for operational tasks, including automated incident triage, self-healing pipelines, and intelligent alerting • Collaborate with product and design partners to ship and iterate

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years with PostgreSQL in production, including schema design, query optimization, partitioning, replication, and performance tuning under write-heavy, high-throughput workloads • 8+ years building Java Spring Boot services, including REST APIs, JDBC, connection pooling, and JVM performance profiling • Experience with Kafka or equivalent streaming systems, including consumer groups, offset management, and partition lag debugging • Track record operating distributed systems on AWS, including microservices, multi-silo deployments, and Terraform • Strong cross-system debugging skills using Datadog metrics, Humio logs, and code paths • Comfort with AI-assisted development and agentic engineering practices • Experience required with PostgreSQL, Java Spring, and Kafka • Familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Python, GitHub including GitHub Actions, Datadog, Humio, and PagerDuty • Legally authorized to work for any employer in the European Union without restrictions • Ability to work in a distributed global team environment
