📋 Description
• Supervises activities of Hospital Billing Department relating to claims, follow-up, credits, variances, and denials for hospital based services • Ensures adequate staffing for Hospital Billing functions • Monitors and approves PPL in accordance with organizational and departmental policy • Provides resource support to staff related to department responsibilities, operations, computer systems, and procedures • Develops productivity targets and reports to measure performance • Assesses staff goals and performance regularly • Delivers productivity and quality feedback to staff • Prepares staff reviews and corrective action as needed • Monitors billing reports and dashboards • Participates in interview team for new employees • Orients new employees to department policies and procedures • Investigates and resolves issues from parents, physicians, payers and departments • Assists in the development of process improvement changes
🎯 Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a closely related field • 2+ years of supervisory/lead experience in hospital or large physician office billing • Proficiency in hospital patient accounting procedures • 2+ years of hospital accounts receivable collection experience • Computer related experience with spreadsheets • Ability to analyze problems relating to the efficiency of billing and collection functions • Excellent communication skills • Analytical and critical thinking skills
