📋 Description

• Own accurate, timely, and compliant accounting for each entity across the Americas. • Partner with Americas regional and global finance teams to deliver reporting and statutory obligations. • Build scalable finance processes ahead of new country deployments. • Receive, verify, match, code, and manage invoices for goods and services. • Prepare and process payments via checks, ACH, wire transfers, or credit cards. • Maintain payment due-date schedules and review and approve payment runs. • Prepare monthly, ad hoc, and contract-compliant customer invoices and follow up on payments. • Reconcile accounts payable sub-ledgers to the general ledger and perform bank reconciliations. • Prepare monthly and quarterly indirect taxes such as VAT. • Perform assigned month-end and year-end closing procedures. • Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve billing errors or payment disputes. • Maintain accurate accounts payable records and audit documentation. • Assist with tax filings across regional entities and coordinate with external advisory firms. • Prepare reports for internal management and external auditors. • Work with the Systems Accountant to implement and improve processes and systems. • Help develop and adapt processes to new software tools such as AI. • Support finance readiness for new country deployments, including chart of accounts, statutory and indirect tax registrations, banking, and payment setup. • Maintain consistent accounting practices and controls across regional entities while adapting to local statutory requirements.

🎯 Requirements

• Associate’s or BA in accounting or finance or equivalent. • 5+ years of proven experience in full cycle accounting, including responsibility for multiple legal entities or jurisdictions. • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. • Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. • Previous experience with PO processes. • English and Spanish language skills required. • CA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent certification preferred. • Experience supporting finance operations in multiple Latin American jurisdictions, or standing up finance processes in a new country desirable. • Portuguese, Dutch, French or other languages used in South America are an asset.
