📋 Description

• Design and execute test plans and test cases for a new integration/middleware layer connecting a partner portal to internal systems • Perform API-level functional, integration, and regression testing • Validate synchronous and asynchronous (event-driven) flows, including error handling and retry/dead-letter scenarios • Collaborate with the Business Analyst to translate documented business flows into test scenarios • Log, track, and verify defect resolution across Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments • Support automation of API test suites where applicable • Validate security and access-control behavior, including authentication, authorization, and data segregation

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of QA experience, with a focus on API/backend testing and independent ownership of test strategy • Experience testing REST APIs (Postman or equivalent tooling) • Experience writing and maintaining structured test cases and test plans • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and testing within a GitLab CI (or equivalent) workflow • Experience in mortgage, lending, or financial services • Good English communication skills (B2+) — daily collaboration with a US-based team • Experience with automated API test frameworks • Experience testing event-driven or asynchronous systems (message queues, notifications) • Familiarity with security testing practices (OWASP-related checks)
