📋 Description

• Provide technical leadership for the design of a serving/read model solution • Integrate SQL Server, applications and .NET workers running on AKS, Cosmos DB, APIs, Azure API Management, and consuming systems • Lead the end-to-end architecture design of the solution • Define and evolve the data model/read model in Cosmos DB • Make decisions regarding partitioning, consistency, indexing, throughput, RU/s, TTL, availability, performance, and costs • Evaluate integration patterns between SQL Server, .NET workers, Cosmos DB, and APIs • Guide decisions regarding idempotency, resilience, reprocessing, and data consistency • Support API design and integration contracts • Plan and review benchmarks, load tests, and solution sizing • Define observability, security, and operational requirements • Map technical dependencies and communicate risks and trade-offs • Produce and maintain architectural documentation, including C4 diagrams and ADRs • Serve as a technical reference for Engineering, SRE, and QA

🎯 Requirements

• Strong experience in solution architecture on Microsoft Azure • Hands-on experience with Azure Cosmos DB in production • Expertise in Cosmos DB data modeling and partitioning strategies • Knowledge of RU/s, indexing policies, consistency levels, TTL, and cost optimization • Experience with distributed systems and high-volume solutions • Knowledge of C#/.NET and ASP.NET Core • Knowledge of SQL Server • Experience with Kubernetes/AKS • Knowledge of REST APIs, OpenAPI, and Azure API Management • Knowledge of security, authentication, and authorization in Azure environments • Experience with observability and performance/load testing • Nice to have: experience with read model/CQRS architectures • Nice to have: experience with high-volume data and high read/write throughput scenarios • Nice to have: experience with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics • Nice to have: knowledge of Entra ID, OAuth2/OIDC, Managed Identity, and Key Vault • Nice to have: experience with idempotency, retry, reconciliation, and at-least-once processing strategies • Technical leadership • Systems thinking • Ability to make decisions in uncertain situations • Clear communication of technical trade-offs • Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple teams and specialists • Ability to translate functional and non-functional requirements into architectural decisions
