📋 Description

• Develop and drive forward CisionOne’s media intelligence platform and supporting systems/processes • Build and enhance CisionOne’s desktop and mobile apps and support systems • Help plan and design future innovations • Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Developers, Account Managers, and customers to understand feature requirements and business problems • Design data and software structures using existing architecture or new components • Evaluate external libraries, services, and APIs • Use AI-assisted development tools and review, test, and own generated code • Write version-controlled backend and frontend code, primarily with Ruby on Rails and VueJS • Write automated unit and end-to-end tests • Submit code for automated and peer review • Review other engineers’ code • Deploy code to preview and staging environments • Gather stakeholder feedback and adjust solutions • Merge and deploy code to production and monitor behavior • Investigate and fix feature or performance issues

🎯 Requirements

• 8–10 years of experience • Experience working with Ruby on Rails and VueJS frameworks and other relevant backend and frontend technologies • Ability to use AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot responsibly and effectively • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to lead and/or deliver on complex software systems • Ability to debug and troubleshoot • Understanding of software best practices and ability to advise accordingly • Preferred: Some DevOps experience, particularly with Kubernetes and Elasticsearch • Preferred: Media/news/content experience • Preferred: Experience with Excel, project management tools, CRM tools, and Boolean Search
