📋 Description

• Lead and manage product engineering teams responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying enterprise-grade applications • Define and execute engineering strategies aligned with product and business objectives • Architect and develop scalable backend systems using Java and Spring Boot • Drive the design and development of RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed applications • Review technical designs, code, architecture decisions, and engineering practices to ensure high standards of quality and scalability • Work extensively with SQL and relational databases, including query optimization, data modeling, performance tuning, and troubleshooting • Collaborate with Product Management, Business, QA, DevOps, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions • Own end-to-end delivery of engineering initiatives, including planning, execution, release, and post-production support • Identify technical risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks and establish appropriate mitigation strategies • Establish engineering best practices around coding standards, architecture, testing, security, performance, and deployment • Mentor and develop engineering managers, tech leads, and senior engineers, fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement • Drive Agile development practices, sprint planning, estimation, prioritization, and timely delivery of product features • Monitor application performance, reliability, scalability, and operational health • Partner with senior leadership to define technology roadmaps and evaluate new technologies and engineering approaches

🎯 Requirements

• 11–20 years of experience in software/product engineering, with significant experience in engineering leadership roles • Strong expertise in Java and object-oriented programming • Extensive experience with Spring Boot and enterprise-scale backend applications • Strong knowledge of SQL, relational databases, data modeling, query optimization, and database performance • Experience designing and implementing REST APIs and microservices • Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, distributed systems, scalability, and performance optimization • Proven experience leading and mentoring large or cross-functional engineering teams • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and business leadership • Experience managing multiple projects and engineering priorities in a fast-paced product environment • Experience with Supply Chain Management platforms or enterprise supply chain applications is advantageous • Knowledge of Order Management Systems (OMS) and order lifecycle processes is advantageous • Understanding of Order Processing, fulfillment workflows, inventory integration, and related business processes is advantageous • Exposure to e-commerce, retail, logistics, manufacturing, or other transaction-intensive domains is advantageous • Experience with cloud platforms, CI/CD, containers, Kubernetes, or DevOps practices is advantageous • Familiarity with event-driven architecture, messaging systems, and distributed transaction processing is advantageous • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline
